I use this device to display my laptop on two monitors and use peripherals like wireless mouse, keyboard and printer. I wish there was a built in KVM switch feature so I could switch between work and personal devices with the push of a button, but manually swapping a USB cable still works just fine. In the end I am satisfied with the purchase.

Do not buy refurbished. But the new one is only a few euros more expensive. The product information says that all accessories will be original, which was not the case in my case. USB 3.0 cable and HDMI to DVI adapter not included. Considering that and what looked like a well used product, it's not a value at all. There is also no manual or paperwork and the transformer is a random replacement. I sent it back and got a new one for 6€ which works great.

This is less of a review of the dock and more of a review of the product I received. I was expecting a renovated (hopefully verified) dock. What I received was the docking station I expected, but with significant damage to the USB-C port - so much so that I had to hold the cable in a certain position for it to work. When I let go, the dock didn't work. I later received an updated docking station (same model) direct from Dell. It works great and causes no problems with my Dell Precision laptop…

The dock works well for connecting multiple monitors to my ASUS Q501LA laptop. The video and USB interfaces worked perfectly. However, I had problems with the audio connection on the docking station. Whenever a system sound was played, a video port was distorted until the sound file was finished. I tried troubleshooting first, to no avail. I ended up using a spare USB audio adapter to fix this problem. If it wasn't for this problem this would be a 5 star product. Maybe the non-renewables don't…
