The power cord gets hot!

Don't get me wrong I've tried several panini presses and in terms of making a panini this is probably the best. HOWEVER, basic security is severely lacking. First, there is no ON/OFF switch. You need to plug it into the wall and unplug it. This is a big problem for me, but I've been living with it for 5 years now. sometimes returning home to verify that I really disconnected the machine from the network. But the downside, which is the biggest for me, is that the power cord started to heat up…

Still working great from 2008 for Cuban sandwiches

I bought this grill in 2008 and now in 2015 it still works and even the first time I used it the quality speaks for itself. I used to eat at a Cuban restaurant and was addicted to Cuban sandwiches so this grill was purchased specifically for making Cuban sandwiches. which are fried on both sides and rather flattened. I know I had other grills to use. but i wanted this one because of the great reviews about it. and they were right. A year before Christmas instead of a big gourmet meal. I put…

Got a big hug and kiss from it

Truly an exceptional Panini press. I bought this for my wife after looking at other models and some didn't have adjustable heat (why wouldn't you want that?) and this model was wider than many as well. She really likes it and I was very impressed with it from a man's point of view. The adjustable heat is definitely a nice feature, and the adaptive hinge works great, allowing you to press on the food instead of mashing it. I burned myself a few times before getting used to where the "no touch"…

Great panini press just a few minor cons

Since we bought this panini press a month ago we have used it many, many times. The press heats up very quickly and prepares a sandwich in a few minutes. This particular machine can be used to cook meat, but I haven't tried raw meat with it. I pre-cooked some thinly sliced chicken breasts and then reheated them with a press and it worked great for the purpose. Love the deep ridges that wick away excess fat etc and put it in the included cup. This is a nice feature that makes food healthier and…

Simply delicious - don't miss it!

I bought this pan press based on other Revain reviews and I am very pleased. This press can be stored on its side so it doesn't take up much space in your cupboard, it's super easy to clean and it comes with a real cookbook called Delizoso! This is full of delicious recipes ranging from breakfast panini to dessert panini and crostini. This panini press heats up quickly and cooks evenly. The first time I used it and since then my paninis have come out perfect every time. And I was impressed with

I wanted to love it

I bought it in 2016 and use it from steaks to toast. I do not recommend the former. Only suitable for panini or cuban pancakes. Pros: heats up quickly. Holds the heat (even with frozen hamburger patties, but I wouldn't do that). Bake evenly. with bits and wet paper towel to finish) Cons: Lubrication is an issue. I'm not usually a gamer, but every time I use this it's a little game whether the lube spout drips and returns to the base of the device. It doesn't have a spout, so the fat just drips…
