🔧 Enhanced Performance Delphi FD0037 Universal Fuel Pump for Efficient Fuel System Functionality Review

Automotive enthusiasts, be wary. When I tried this fuel pump, it simply didn't work. Despite being touted as universal, it clearly wasn't compatible with my high-performance vehicle. The only positive aspect I can mention is the price point, but that's simply not enough to make up for its poor performance.

1). The pump had to be redesigned to stop leaking through the "external" female ports. No matter what I tried, I couldn't stop the leak. Eventually it was determined that the internal threads were either not deep enough or the inside diameter of the bore was too large and the amount of thread sealant provided was not sufficient to stop the leak. Luckily I have a 1/4 NPT faucet and I cut the hole another 1/8 inch or so and that stopped the leak. In an ideal world I would have returned the pump…

Installed on 1983 Nissan 720 Pickup Truck. The pump works great. They send different size adapters and fuel lines, but I didn't use any fuel lines. Although it may be useful for some. My old pump case was grounded and my wiring harness ground was bolted to the case screw. I bolted the ground and wire harness of this pump to the frame. My pump had 2 mounting screws, this one has 1.
