🎄 Bucilla Christmas Bird Felt Applique Kit Review

I made 10 of these stockings so I know what is right and wrong in the sets. There is embroidery floss in this particular kit which is of poor quality and flimsy. I had to throw away the black and red thread and buy new threads because the threads kept breaking when I pulled to tighten a stitch or attach a sequin. There wasn't enough white floss to attach all the snow and sequins. The design is nice but the floss sucks. I would not recommend buying this model.

It would be fun to collect this item if the threads weren't of such poor quality! This thing depends on everything being sewn together. The thread is knotted every few stitches, breaking in the middle of a stitch for no other reason than its cheapness. I was so focused on the sewing that I didn't notice the birdhouse was off center even though I followed the layout! That alone is driving me insane but my daughter wants it so I have to live with it. I just opened the Bucilla Playing in the Snow Christmas boot, after the return date of course. All the weird colors felt inside, which (as shown in the Bucilla color rendition) should be all the different shades of purple. Well it isn't! There is exactly a small piece of mid purple felt that looks like gloves and some hats but the top of the boot is navy blue and the background is not the soft lilac as pictured but light blue felt!
