Check out the Delta website

Delta has an excellent website for identifying the right parts, although scrolling through dozens of taps until you find a line drawing of your particular bug can be tedious. It's better to take the time to make sure you have the right parts than to send a plumber without completing the repair because you didn't have the right part that you bought from the big department store.

Identical to Costler RP25513 but without the plastic plug

I bought this model to replace a couple of 10 year old RP25513's that were starting to leak. The difference between the $3.27 more expensive RP24096 and the $3.27 more expensive RP25513 is a small piece of plastic that fits into the stock block and allows the levers to open and close ninety degrees. rods, you can order these cheaper builds and reuse this part to make it work.

Works perfectly! for faucet parts

I called Delta and they insisted that this stem assembly would fit my ancient Roman bath faucet. I didn't have a model number but they just wanted to know how old she was (about 12 years old) and if she had pins or buttons (buttons). This block is nylon with a brass shaft while the old one was all nylon. This was normal as the wave is not visible. You were right. It fits perfectly. I also replaced the seat and spring under the assembly (sold separately) and used some plumber's grease to…

True Delta Rough Plumbing Part

If I order a brand, I want it to be the brand. It was a real part of Delta. The only difference was that the original had a black base and the new one had a clear base which had/had no functional differences that I am aware of. The shaft is brass, not plastic. You can purchase a part with a 1/4 turn insert (RP25513) if you think you will need it, but the insert can be reused. The reason for replacing the entire valve stem assembly is that over time the o-rings wear, shrink, harden and break…

THE GOOD PART, HERE ARE SOME INSTALLATION TIPS

If the faucet is dripping and won't close, replace the valve seats first. On my unit it's a spare RP4993 and it's only $5 a pair. If that doesn't work or the faucet handle has a leak, you need this part. This is a manufacturer part and works well although it took a full week to ship. First, turn off the water supply and wrap the work area with an old towel to wipe away any liquid. Remove the handle with a hex wrench, then unscrew the cover nut. Grab the stem with pliers and pull it out…

They should last a lifetime - no! Took 6 years.

After about 6 years in our brand new home (moving in date 02/14/2014) we were getting reports from our water supply that we were having a slow leak. After several months of investigating, I found that the Delta faucet in our master bathroom was slowly leaking - a drip every 75 seconds. Yes our nanny water company has installed new digital water meters which seem to be able to track water usage at such meager levels. if I'm wrong, I'd love to hear from you). In the kit you can see the underside…
