The description does not say that the lid has large white letters and smaller text to advertise the orthodontic company that sells it. So much for having a discreet case on your desk or counter. Also, my 11 year old son had trouble opening these cases. On the other hand, the brilliant blue color is nice and the case feels pretty solid.

I've been using this case for almost a week and I like it better than the traditional ones you usually see. It's a bit bigger than the traditional cases I have, but I don't notice it. There are two ventilation holes on the top, which are difficult to see in the photo. It stays closed securely but I have no problem opening the case and it has enough room for my retainer. The bright blue color is very pretty.

I bought these cases for my retainer because the one my orthodontist gave me needed to be replaced. I found this form impractical for quick use. Difficult to open compared to a traditional case and less space to hold the shutter. You will need to fold the top bracket over the bottom bracket for it to fit properly. The traditional case is much roomier and allows you to wrap the retainer in a handkerchief. I have since bought another retainer and settled on the traditional semi-oval shape.
