Overpriced Holiday Letdown

While the design of this collectible building is fairly intricate, the price tag is not justified by its lackluster quality. The paint job is uneven and chipped in several places, making it an eyesore in your Home and Kitchen dΓ©cor. The Department 56 Collection Christmas Apartments are definitely not worth the expense.

Pros
  • Beautifully crafted and intricately detailed apartments that add significant charm to any Christmas display.
Cons
  • Due to their size and level of detail, they may be more expensive than other decor options.

So realistic: home decor accents

Loved these little apartments (brown stone). They fit perfectly into my part of the cityscape in my Christmas village that I build up every 3 years (it's so huge). The canopies are so realistic and reminiscent of walks in New York. I liked how well he fit into the village.

Pros
  • Launched 1995, discontinued 1997
Cons
  • Too long to wait
