Really wish pipe and fitting makers could agree on standard sizes. I understand the difference between inside diameter (ID) and outside diameter (OD), but I have no photographic memory of all the different sizes of tubing used in my home brewery. My suggestion is to take a caliper to your pipes and notches and take careful notes. If possible, try to standardize several sizes.

I was very pleased to learn that the outside diameter of the barb was measured at 0.778 inches, which is within specification. The fit was acceptable with a few small little nicks.
