🔥 DE 010107 Exhaust Heat Wrap, 1-inch x 50-foot Roll - Black, Enhanced SEO Review

In place 6 years and I originally impregnated the film with black silicone paint but it seems to have faded. A 50 foot roll was enough to wrap both top pipes and 3 foot down pipe. The included stainless steel ties were a bit short for my application, so I contacted Harbor Freight for 10" stainless steel ties, which were left in place.

I've used this and a few other more expensive brands, it fits very well. Keeps its color, fits perfectly and holds up as it should. It's not as clean as the more expensive slide, with visible lint around the edges. No problem unless you really want to look flawless. For the price it couldn't be better, 1/4 the price of a slide giving you the cleanest look. Sometimes a bit of fluffiness is a nice contrast to an otherwise clean project, lol.

As on most bikes the exhaust gets hot and gives off a lot of heat. So I decided I would give it a try. First, I had to go with the 1" wrap. It would be easier to avoid sharp turns. Other than that, it seems to work quite well. I no longer feel the searing heat emanating from the panels on my legs. Another thing, what has happened is that now that all the hot gas has to exit the back of the pipe it has burned the entire gasket of my muffler so now it has an even deeper beautiful note!

I ordered a new head and exhaust for my '78 MGB and as I waited for them to arrive I decided I liked the look of the wrapped heads. After looking at all the alternatives, I chose this product mainly because of its relatively low cost; My MG isn't a hot rod, so power and temperature were secondary.
