If you are an average or average skilled knitter, this book is for you. I liked how many options are given and how the instructions are clearly written. I bought the book to help me design a sweater for my eldest son and it fits perfectly in every way. I am thrilled that with such easy to follow instructions I can design exactly what I want for my son.

I first got this book from my local library. It offers fairly simple instructions for creating your own knitting or crochet projects. In the past I have used patterns to get my knitting and crochet patterns. It allows any size and style. This book uses similar ideas. It's a lot easier for me than after all the work I've been working on, I'm limited to certain patterns that might not suit my body. I highly recommend this book if you love to knit or crochet.

Very easy to read and understand, starts with basic design and inspiration. It doesn't teach all the basics of knitting itself, but that's because it's a design book (for knitting), so it assumes the reader already knows how to knit (otherwise why would you create something you know from have no idea do you?? !) I'm only giving it 4 stars because it doesn't include every possible stitch you can make for knitting, but as I said, it's more about matching the design than how to do the stitching…
