Very disappointed with these lamps. They just don't last long at all. I've added a picture of one that isn't technically blown up as the element is intact. However, they are so poorly made that the contacts burn out and the light bulb does not light up. For around $2 a bulb you really can't go wrong. The first package of these lamps lasted about 3 years. Some boxed lights last longer than others, but they're cheaper than the mainstream brands and last about the same. They are available with 300 or 500 watts. Just read the instructions or look at the bulb yourself to find out the maximum wattage per bulb. Too much heat due to the higher wattage can significantly reduce the life of these bulbs. OK. First off, it's a great price and as someone else has reported, it'll be worth it WITHOUT the pears. The case is amazing. What isn't visible in the picture is that each bulb is wrapped with a paper tab so you can pull the bulb out without touching it, which is an important requirement.
