Great Pack: Hiking Packs

I was hesitant to take this pack, but after receiving it and using it on a week-long hike through the Idaho Rockies, I was convinced. Well built and withstands a lot. I would buy another Deuter, no problem.

Cons
  • Not Everything Fits

Adjustable and has a separate compartment for a tent

Excellent backpack. I've used it twice. I carry about 20 pounds without water. Lots of space and adjustable to your height, so if you're short like me that's no problem. Very convenient. I like the separate top compartment (which is also removable) and the separate tent compartment.

Pros
  • Nice thing
Cons
  • Good but not great

The best pack I've used so far!

The perfect backpack for a long weekend. Everything you need and nothing you don't need. I used the old ACT Zero (which I liked) but this pack is perfect! Improved waist belt and excellent support. This backpack allows you to carry heavy loads, and it feels better than the backpacks that can't carry more than 30 pounds. I have carried both heavy and light loads and this backpack has been very comfortable.

  • Impressive

Really comfortable Best in Backpacking Packs

At first I didn't know which backpack to buy. So after many days of searching I saw that this is a good option. Then I also saw the reviews of this product and I am really satisfied with this product. I had these backpacks from a year ago and had to do a long trip and they fit a lot of stuff and also had room for a bottle of alcohol. It was really tough but I have to say I'm really happy. Comfortable back for you, I really encourage you to buy it. I mean if you want a good backpack turn it…

Excellent hiking backpack

This was a great backpack - the extra 10 liters you can add on top (space that expands) is fantastic - thanks to that you can have a big bag when You need them - but don't always carry a huge backpack if you don't need that much space. My husband said the backpack is very comfortable, like most Deuter bags. All straps are adjustable, which is very handy to ensure a good and comfortable fit. The bag also looked great and high quality. We only sent it back because we got another bag (slightly…

Almost perfect - just a Gripe

Good yes, but why isn't there a water hose loop (see picture) on the right side, only on the left shoulder strap? Now I have to glue my tube in there or add a noise clip, not happy. After years of drinking H2O on the right side, you can't go left! However, I have tried backpacks from other manufacturers and always fall back on Deuter, this Augsburger has taken care of everything (without my sling, eye rolls). The new slanted hip fins are awesome! I wish I had had that mother on my back when I…

Pros
  • High test scores for grip and durability
Cons
  • Useless features

Everything I ever wanted in one package!

Wow. This package is everything I asked for and more. This is by far the most comfortable and versatile backpack I have ever carried! First of all, the nice and wide hip belt does its job very well and transfers the weight of the pack from the shoulders. Combined with the adjustable fit system, I was able to make small adjustments until the bag fitted perfectly. I recently went hiking in the desert for the first time and even with 13 pounds of water at my usual load I was still more comfortable

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks
