Not 100% wool on stitch

This rug is not 100% wool. I was quilting and the black synthetic fibers caught on my iron and ruined my Rowenta iron and quilt blocks.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • hard to tell

Stay away from cats!

This is my first wool ironing mat. I love it. I may have to replace it because my cat used it as a scratching post last night πŸ˜”

Do not iron the wooden top or you will ruin it

They said you can iron on the tabletop, but the steam goes right through the pad and the tabletop gets wet. Otherwise, I like the convenience of this method.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • High price

Love the storage box

This rug is exactly what I was looking for. It's bigger than some so I can iron large pieces of fabric without moving them. I wanted a rug with a storage box to keep pet hair and dust out when not in use. That's great.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • old

Dyed fabric and iron

Bought when friends were quilting, everyone loved wool rugs. They don't seem to have that brand. There was a gray "dirt" on the iron that needed cleaning and there were stubborn gray stains on my quilt blocks. And this at a low temperature and without steam, without fog, without starch. Completely unsatisfied.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Have doubts

A good product! - Quilting

Ironing mat works well. It is durable and provides an even base for ironing. The only thing to watch out for is that with a lot of ironing, you will find that the underside of the rug will sweat. Keep this in mind when working on a wooden surface or any surface that can be damaged if wet. Overall this is a great product and a good carry case.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
