    Stick to the price

For most applications these devices work great, just don't expect razor sharp cuts. I have attached several pictures of the results in hardwood. The largest hole was cut with a more expensive drill for comparison. This bit costs three times as much as this set. Depending on grain orientation, your results will vary. You can also get cleaner holes by clamping scrap wood over the cut.

BIG! If they came in a box

What do I do with these awesome pieces when I'm not using them? Hmm box? Why not one with Beats, Dewalt? How much will it cost? Ten cents? These bits are ideal for wood and MDF. I bought them for an MDF shelving project. The large cutters were great for making relatively shallow countersinks with sharp and clean entry points and good piloting on the underside for the smaller screw clearance hole. Cut small pieces quickly. I highly recommend these beats.

Not the best Brad bits I've had

I remain disappointed that companies like Dewalt that used to make great beats in the US have outsourced to China and are selling inferior tools. That may be good for corporate profits, but not for consumers. These bits are not very sharp and will dull after about three days of constant drilling into oak. I almost gave up. None of the famous American companies make their own instruments here. I used to love the Crescent tools. Even now they are all made in China.

    1/8 " bit broke on 3rd hole

I bought these for kitchen cabinet doors. I needed a 1/8" bit for drilling pilot holes for the new hinges and a 3/16" bit for drilling of holes The handles 1/8" bit broke on the third pilot hole! I was overwhelmed and had to run to a major hardware store to finish a new drill bit. The 3/16" bit worked great! It went through the tough oak like butter. would be the hardest. I keep the set as I've used the 3/16" bit so much, but I don't think so I will buy a Dewalt again.

    Drill shafts aren't true

I bought a set of DeWalt bit tipped drills a few months ago and used them for the first time yesterday. I was very disappointed - the first bit I tried (1/2 inch) rocked so hard that it couldn't be used. I've tried it in two different drill bits and on a drill press with the same result. The drill shank is wrong. I suspect the machining to reduce the diameter of the shaft to fit small chucks was faulty. I have other DeWalt tools that I am very happy with and I hope this is the exception but…

1/8 " drill bit broke on first use

I bought this set a few months ago and wanted to use it a bit before reviewing it. After two months I can't recommend this set to anyone. The 1/2" "-Drill is not centered and wobbles a lot when rotating. The rest isn't very sharp, but it's an inexpensive set so it doesn't matter. Just yesterday I had my first chance to use an 1/8" bit and I barely touched the top of the tree before the bit broke right where the shank meets the start of the groove. I drilled perpendicular to the workpiece, there

    Similar to other repeat

have been solid so far, although I haven't worked with wood since I bought them. I've found that approach to use is everything and the best quality hole was where I pushed something against another piece of wood for a cleaner exit. I've used it in the press and because of the materials I'm using it's not my choice. a bit of a guy but nice to have her around. The right tools for the right job and so on. I haven't noticed any wobbling when working with them in the press, nor any wear on the tips…
