Deyoung Adapter Lenovo Thinkpad UltraBase Review

I used this adapter with "Samsung 860 PRO 512GB V-NAND Solid State Drive (MZ-76P512BW)" and the drive came up with no problems Installed . It is included in the CD/DVD drive. Installation is as simple as removing the drive and installing this adapter. One complaint, however, is that the adapter doesn't fit snugly in the bay. Works well and fits my t420s perfectly. It has a blue LED that doesn't match the rest of the laptop, but other than that it's perfect.

Received before promise was new as stated and worked perfectly for my purposes. The only problem is that I had to wait two months when I ordered a second unit, so I'll just stick with one or buy elsewhere!

I usually buy products with reviews. But since all caddies are very similar, this time I would try the lesser-known ones. The first one I bought (from a different brand) was different from the picture and the actual one so I went back and there were no screws to hold the drive in place. The second one I bought (Deyoung brand) worked great. Screws and screwdrivers worked great. And I installed a new WD Blue 2.5 drive and it works with my T430s. Everything is fine, nothing more nothing less. Decent build quality although I wish the LED had a switch as most laptops have and work with a hard drive indicator so the blinking blue LED is a little annoying.
