I had to replace the original handles on our 2 year old model NX58K7850SS/AA dual oven due to the plastic coating on the original stainless steel handles melting and peeling on all five handles. It's in the $2,100 range, and Samsung's replacement pens are $84 each! My extended warranty does not cover "cosmetic defects" even though it is a design/manufacturing defect. I love my Samsung line except for one thing: the grips. They tend to break in some way after relatively short use. They break because the inner sleeve on the back of the handle, the part that fits over the burner control rod on the stove, is plastic. Every time you turn the knob all the torque is transferred to this small diameter plastic bushing and being plastic it tends to break. My original pens broke after a few months of use.
