When I heard terrible noises yesterday, I removed the valve covers and found that the guides in the engine had collapsed. Fragile and broken plastic, metal to metal contact, timing chain is fine but everything else is rubbish.

I wish I could be more specific, but it just feels cheap: the edges are rough, the hydraulic tensioners don't press smoothly, and the plastic doesn't feel premium.
