These tampons are good quality cotton tips - on par with the popular Q-Tip brand in terms of absorbency and softness. However, what I didn't know was that the "glue" part between the cotton tips was plastic and not roll paper. So I can't throw them in my commercial compost. Plastic can take decades to decompose in a city landfill. I wish I had understood before buying that they are not eco-friendly.

Ok, look. We all know that you "shouldn't" put q-earbuds or their regular counterparts in your ears. That means we all know we're going to do it anyway. I saw them and realized that for the price it wouldn't hurt to try them. Let me just say these are the shittiest "cotton swabs" I've ever put in my ears with displeasure. The cotton is rough and scratchy, which is annoying, but those darn flexible plastic chopsticks are a real treat. They are not powerful enough to go straight into the ear. You

These are tampons. They are cotton. A pack may or may not contain 375 pieces. There's like. a lot of. It was $2.50, I really wouldn't be upset if I cut it, which is less than 300 Q-Tips instead of 375. It's definitely more than 150, but most likely more than 250. Very likely almost 375, if you're willing to risk $2.50 on this rating, definitely make a purchase. Confirmed by swab, which is most likely cotton.

They're small (or maybe normal sized) but I cleaned my ears well with them. They have a soft plastic stick. This was the only downside - too flimsy and flexible but might be ok with Q-tip and ear cleaning. It reminded me of some cheap supermarket toothbrushes I'd bought: soft bristles and a modern "reach" design, but the handles were soft and flexible so I felt like I didn't have enough strength to brush properly . I've never paid much attention to cotton swabs as they're basically all the same, at least that's what I thought before! There is SO LITTLE COTTON on the tips of the box I received that you can actually feel the entire shape of the wand! You can usually press the tip of the cotton swab and feel most of it halfway down.
