I saw someone else write that it's a giant piece of plastic, not magnetic. You're right! If you order them on a whim to make roller skates easier, they're not. Impossible to enter and stay. The money was returned but they are in the trash.

It's a big piece of plastic! I don't understand what's so magnetic about that! It's very hard to find a pin that fits exactly into these holes in this piece of plastic. I bought 2 types of pins and none worked! You probably have to have very long, very thin hair to use this, but still maintaining that stability is a big problem! Throw money away and don't accept returns!

I air dry my center back fine highlights in 2 sets and they are straight, smooth and bouncy at the ends as if I would blow dry or walk to the salon! Lasts until the next shampoo. My hair is straight at the roots and after puberty it has various waves in the middle length which I don't like. I also ordered metal clips to hold the curlers in place (either common sense or cynicism told me they wouldn't magically stay on their own). I use them to straighten hair with little to no heat (type 3b, shoulder length). Simply set them on damp, freshly washed hair (I use 12 to really soften my frizz), then blow dry on low speed or let your hair air dry for about an hour. I wish the edges were textured to make them easier to grab, but for the most part they're fine and good value for money.

I'm looking forward to using these great 3 inch curlers that only cost about $5 a pack. How handy to have them on my doorstep in a day. No more ironing your hair. Easy hairstyle, either air dry or use a hat dryer. Yes I bought this from Revain too and will reconsider my hat once my hair is curled.
