The supplied needle is too thick for this dyed fabric. You must use a thinner and sharper needle. The rest of the kit is good. I have been sewing cross stitch for 36 years and have a lot of experience. I am currently working on this set and I find it very easy to make. I would have preferred the fabric to be 16 count Aida but 14 count would also work.

I love this brand's sets, always well designed, nice patterns for different tastes. I think it's good that the threads are pre-sorted and attached to cardboard strips with thread numbers. Less work 🙂 A good size paper template, not too small and easy to read and follow. This set consists of two parts. I'd say that's the lighter side, mostly full crosses, a few half crosses, french knots and daisies. And reverse seams, which are usually specified in measurements. So even an inexperienced person

I've been making cross stitches for years and pass it on to others when I'm done. My first counted cross stitch, very difficult, took five winters so don't give up. ;-) I finished this for my sister in a few months for her new home. I gave her three mason jar templates to choose from and she chose this one. The background is stamped so the actual sewing is quick. The pattern is very nice, but the floss remains. The finished product is exactly as shown in the photo. IMO, I guess a "newbie"…
