This converter is great for connecting old VCRs and games consoles to modern HDMI TVs. I tested it with a VCR and Xbox and it worked great on both. My TV has an aspect ratio setting for the HDMI input, so I set the aspect ratio to 4:3 so the picture doesn't get stretched to the full 16:9 widescreen.
