This works well and is a solution to making older audio/video devices with composite and super video jacks usable with newer devices that have HDMI only.

I purchased this adapter to connect a Fire TV stick to an old TV without an HDMI port. It connects to the S-video port and audio RCA ports. It connects easily and there are no problems using the Fire stick. The picture and audio quality are fine.

Gizmos like this use big name chipsets, so if they get the design spec, soldering and so forth right, they’ll work perfectly.
