The thing is springy and extremely delicate for such an important task. It didn't fit my application on a 2006 JCW Mini and I had to modify it. Other than that, it works better than the plastic OEM dipstick.

Great when the alternative costs about $50 more. All you have to do is place it next to your old feeler gauge and cut off the excess length. You can really complain, unless the description says it fits. But it's easy to fix. Seems to be good quality too.

The product arrived on time! The product looks well made and reliable, the dipstick is a bit longer than the factory dipstick which doesn't give the right reading but still does the job and is better than the OEM. My only request is that the product is the correct length.

This dipstick is exactly what I was looking for. An OEM product is made out of some kind of fiber or plastic, and sometimes they fail, break, and end up in the engine. No bueno. This probe is made of flexible metal and looks much stronger.

This item was a joke on my 2006 MINI Copper S. The tip was too long to fit through the curves in the filler neck. Where the tip was crimped onto the spring, it had sharp edges and stuck into bends in the tube. Pulling out in the area of a tiny hole where it was drilled for a spring ripped, and the hole turned to garbage. I wouldn't recommend it to any Mini owner. If it gets stuck in the tube, serious work needs to be done to remove it.

Perfect fit for my 2005 Mini Cooper S. Glad I spent the extra money on this rather than buying what I previously had as a dipstick. It was made out of some weird thing that looked like plastic or fiberglass or something. Anyway, this thing was broken in half and held down with string strong enough to hold it together to get it out of the car one last time to put this thing in. problem, and no more worrying about it breaking in half and getting stuck while you pull it out.

So I will support other people's concerns about the length of this probe. Like the others, spring was too long for me and it was MUCH crowded. Compared to my standard probe, it was about a quarter of an inch longer. However, attachment is fairly easy as the spring is held in my 1.5 hex head screw.
