No metal, and it LEAKS!

The only part of the lid that is not made of plastic is the sliding lever. I have agave syrup in one and it LEAKS from the top leaving a gap between the glass and the metal. Very disappointed. I'm sending them back!

Pros
  • Brilliantly finished
Cons
  • Working speed

Do not do that! good for storage and organization

Cute little jars but the lids don't hold up to everyday use. I've had mine for a little over a month and the spring on the one we use daily has already broken. I spent $20 on my kit and see they are listed at $30. save your money

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Just enough

The lids are mostly plastic, not "cast zinc "

So far I've only washed them, not filled them with syrup. the cover was made of chromed plastic. It might get better with time, but I didn't expect that.

Pros
  • Easy assembly
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Perfect glasses

Perfect what you need. My husband loves heating up the syrup for our homemade waffles/pancakes, which he makes from scratch. He puts the jar in the microwave which is great. Because the dispenser is small, we don't use it, we keep it in the fridge. The little dispenser is great for both of us. I put the glass in the dishwasher but not the top handle. In addition, the price was great and you always have a reserve.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Security

Large size for pure maple syrup

Because I buy my syrup in gallon containers every spring, this jar offers the convenience of quick and easy use. In our household, ALL sweeteners use "Golden" or very lightly flavored syrup. I have two and alternate between them when I don't need a lot of syrup. for example for coffee, tea, oatmeal etc. I have noticed that there is some crystallisation along the locking mechanism but this does not seem to affect use.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Incredibly cute and seems well made

I ordered two of these - one for honey and one for syrup and they are sooooo cute! I like the size and weight and they seem well made. I love that I can just open the lid and place the jar in hot water while the honey crystallizes. until they flow. (There is a nice seal on the inside of the lid that looks like it should work just fine.) I am very happy with my purchase and will most likely be buying a few for my adult daughters to stock up on for Christmas.

The best honey dispensers!

I have been using this dispenser for about a month now. This is the best honey dispenser I have ever used at home or in a restaurant. I use it every day, several times. Never drips! The reverse lever is perfectly designed so you can pour EXACTLY as much honey as you want. When you release the lever, it stops and no additional drop is released. Pay attention to the gasket located on top of the dispenser. The flat part should be directly above the glass. This is important when you wash it and put

Convenient but useless for kitchen and dining room

It's really convenient, we never eat at the table, so each of us can bring our syrup to our chairs. Dripping a little, but not much. Very nice to have. UPDATE: I'm lowering my rating here. The seals don't keep the syrup from threading in, making it nearly impossible to open the jug to refill. I had to use a wrench which pretty much removed the chrome trim from the top (although it's a rubber wrench). Soaking the lids in hot, soapy water to remove the stickiness took longer. They can still be…

Pros
  • Tempered thick glass
Cons
  • Waiting time too long

No more sticky mess!

We use a lot of honey and maple syrup – both of which are usually packaged in jars and it's always a mess with kids. Sometimes we use a spoon and there are threads of honey on the counter or, worse, peanut butter dipped in honey. Another time I tried using a teddy bear but it melts in the dishwasher or microwave. I love these little jars because the zinc lid "cuts off" the honey as it's removed, stopping the mess. Since they are made of glass and metal, they can also be washed in the dishwasher

  • Retractable Spout Lid

They work exactly as they're supposed to.

Reviews of these honey and syrup dispensers are everywhere. I bought these and they work great with thick raw/natural honey. You just need to follow a few steps: 1. Make sure the white silicone gasket is properly seated in the metal lid (proper placement is the wider flat part down on the glass jar); 2. Do not screw in an overtightened cap (let the gasket do its job or it will shrink, warp and leak); 3. Fill the glass container only up to the narrowing of the container neck (approx. ¾ of the…
