We use a lot of honey and maple syrup – both of which are usually packaged in jars and it's always a mess with kids. Sometimes we use a spoon and there are threads of honey on the counter or, worse, peanut butter dipped in honey. Another time I tried using a teddy bear but it melts in the dishwasher or microwave. I love these little jars because the zinc lid "cuts off" the honey as it's removed, stopping the mess. Since they are made of glass and metal, they can also be washed in the dishwasher if necessary. I can also rinse them under hot water from the sink without filling the spout. Because of the great product and good price, I will buy more for my family this Christmas!
