I bought them for camping. We have many companies, so it's best to buy in bulk. They should last us about three years. Some heavy hands will break them, but not as easily as other brands we've bought.

I buy DIxie spoons and forks from the same series as these knives. They are all durable and allow me to use them like any other metal, good for anything but hard food. For example, if I pick up cold peanut butter, the scoop will feel like I'll squeeze hard enough to scoop it out, it will break and there will be plastic in my peanut butter. BUT! You see, I'm a big fan of Costco Kirkland's clear plastic disposable cutlery sets, but the set has a lot more forks than knives, so we're running out of knives early.
