The product is excellent. at Outdoor Recreation

The delivery took FOREVER - from China. But the little pot is perfect for camping. Holds just over 4 cups, looks tiny but enough for 2 coffee cups. The advantage of a small pot is that it doesn't take as long to heat up. My sister has a Wally World steel coffee maker and she never boils because it's so big and the metal is so thin. PLEASE NOTE - This item is non-refundable. But if you know it won't be delivered within 2-3 weeks, you should be happy when it arrives.

It fits and fits perfectly

I bought this travel kettle because of its size as it looked like it would fit in a GSI ice pack. And he's doing great! Please note: I took out the GSI plate and cup, but this kettle includes a Trangia alcohol burner, as well as a can opener, lighter and lots of sachets of instant coffee. After 40 years of experimenting with a variety of camping essentials, I believe I finally have the perfect system for everything from rehydrating freeze-dried foods to preparing venison steaks.

I recommend taking an oven mitt or something else and taking it with you.

I used it intensively for about 2 weeks in a row just camping. This is a sturdy little kettle. If you need hot water while camping, this is what you need. Please note that you will use some kind of oven mitt when working. The black handle gets very hot. If you do, I recommend grabbing an oven mitt or some to-go and pouring the kettle. This champion heats up in about 5-10 minutes depending on the intensity of the fire. Easy to use and operate, easy to carry. It's small but can hold a decent…

Does what it takes

Helps boil water quickly (I only dehydrate food), packs small. It also fits easily with my homemade spirit lamp (mine doesn't need a stand), a 6-ounce fuel container, a small box of matches, and a lighter. Easy and super cheap to buy. I definitely like it. In my personal price-performance ratio, this definitely tends towards quality. Nothing to fault. Update: Also fits in my gas stove. 4 oz canister, brs stove, lighter. Holds up great in use. I love how light this thing is for the amount of…

If you fill it to the top it will hold 1.1 liters

At $19 this is a knock off. Looks a lot bigger in the pictures than it really is. It should hold 1.1 liters. What happens if you fill it to the brim. The problem is that when you do this and heat the water to scalding and try to pour it, it also pours out the spout and TOP. Dangerous and pic. It would be nice to get something that actually works as intended. I looked at Docooler. Turns out it's a Chinese (no surprise) electronics company (big surprise). Sells kettle for camping. 20 Euros…

Very poor design that makes this kettle dangerous and impractical.

Terrible design. The top lid falls off and doesn't stay on the kettle, and if you tilt it as you pour it will recline and fall out. To make matters worse, since the kettle's spout is high (up), you have to turn the pot at an acute angle to pour out all the water. There is a possibility of hot water overflowing from above and burning your hand. And even if you hold the lid with your other hand (which defeats the purpose I bought this item for) hot water can still leak out of the lid. This is a…

Not exactly 1.1 liters

Just received and checked - boiled some water on the stove. This is a very small kettle. 1.1 liters are not. Maybe if you filled it to the top it would be, but then the water would boil out of the spout. That is actually 0.9 liters. It's big enough for 2 cups of coffee, so we should have enough, and small enough to fit in another pot that we take on camping trips, so packing is handy. The handle is so close to the kettle that it's too hot to hold with your bare hand when the water is just…

Perfect size for outdoor recreation

I've recently returned to camping and am slowly improving what I take with me (car camping only, no backpacking). I used a small pot to boil water for coffee, hot chocolate, ramen noodles, etc., but spilled water was difficult to clean up. I saw a smaller pot than this one but decided to go with this one anyway. I'm very glad I did this. It's small, yes, but it's enough for a couple of cups of coffee, pasta, or whatever. The lid is NOT tight which is the only downside but it is easy to hold…

Possibly magical: camping and hiking

I bought this kettle to take with me on camping trips and when it arrived and I saw it for the first time I actually cursed out loud because i thought it was either a rip off or they accidentally sent a toy version of what i ordered. It's very small, about the size of a palm. And it's practically weightless - the box it came in is heavier. Somehow though, it's bigger on the inside than the outside and only seems good enough to fill a couple of thimble-sized teacups at a teddy bear picnic, but…
