DO NOT USE THE SUPPLIED PCV VALVE!

Replaced my OEM cap with this one. The engine started to burn a lot of oil! I saw another reviewer's comment about the PCV valve that came with this cap. I removed the Dorman PCV valve and reinstalled my old one - problem solved!

Do not use a new PCV valve!

I have had no problems with valve covers BUT a few weeks after installation the car was smoking on cold starts. At first I thought the valve stem seals were leaking since it didn't smoke right away. Replacing oil seals is very expensive and I would sell the car before spending that much money on this vehicle. It was a few more weeks before I could figure out what the problem was. I disconnected the PCV valve, plugged the port and the smoke problem went away. I replaced the valve for $18 plus…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Almost never
