🔧 Dorman 42892 Wiper Arm: Ultimate Replacement for Optimal Windshield Wiping Review

The package arrived a little dented and I had to bend the metal arm into position for it to work properly on my 99 JGC - not perfect. The wiper arm came in an envelope with no padding or packing material to protect it.

This was a very necessary detail, the previous one came out of the snow. I found it very easy to install, the only problem is that it's flimsy and keeps opening. Hopefully it won't come loose until the next snowstorm.

Great replacement for a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Other reviews are correct, the mounting cap is not included and the OEM cap is not suitable. I've just found a grommet/plug that fits the hole at various stores in Autozone and it looks great!

Although it is stated to fit the '99 Grand Cherokee, this product does not actually fit. The wiper itself fits, but the lever holding it to the rear window isn't long enough, causing the wiper blade to fall under the window and not work properly.

Fits somehow. 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee It fits the shaft, although I had to push the block hard to get it into place. I also had to "rebuild" the device to make it work properly. Now I need to find a plastic plug to cover the open lock nut hole. So while it works, it's unlikely to be a direct fit.

Trash! I wish I could get reviews but I was excited just to find it for the price. Even 99 cents wouldn't be a good deal. The plastic stopper on my arm fell apart during installation. Wanted to keep this but decided on a different brand instead. And as others have said - there is no cap to cover the nut after installation. Also sits higher on the wiper motor stud than stock. Don't touch this detail - it doesn't quite fit and you'll regret it in the end. .

When I bought my Jeep it was missing the plastic wedge that helps the rear wiper arm sit in the tailgate bracket which meant my wiper blade was more likely to stay sweaty don't get stuck if you try to get over the window. With this cheap replacement and 2 minutes of my time I now have a 100% working rear wiper. The only thing "missing" is to cover the nut that secures it to the car. I bought this because it had to fit my car. However, I came close, the J-hook used to attach the wiper blade is too short and doesn't lock the blade in place. There may be mounting adapters somewhere but I couldn't find them so I had to send this wiper arm back.
