Easy to use on a 1968 Chevy C-10 truck

Look at my picture to see how to position the tool correctly. Then gently wiggle and rock until it is installed or removed. I wish I had bought one of these years ago.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Cheap know-how doesn't work

Revain should not allow these fakes to be sold here. This tool is pure junk. It will bend upon first use without excessive force being applied to it. You get what you paid for but it shouldn't be for sale here.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Very expensive

useless too weak/flexes too easily

Shaft is too weak and flexes before the wiper arm disengages! Returned to the cloth and hammer method. Bad copy of GM tool. Don't waste your money on this poor quality product that doesn't work! Surprised, Revane even carries this useless piece of junk with him!

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Useless features

Super simple and effective when used correctly

I bought this to remove wipers from a '68 Chevy. They worked fine. It took about 5 seconds for each wipe. Just make sure the tool is placed correctly on the squeegee and use common sense when handling. People who say it doesn't work are probably not using it properly. This is a simple tool that is inexpensive and works great for what it is.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • There are problems

67 Chevelle with stubborn wipers.

I've tried every possible tool combination from my extensive tool kit, but I couldn't remove the windshield wipers from my '67 Chevelle. So I tried this inexpensive tool from Revain and it worked without any problems the first time, like magic. Normally I'm not satisfied with anything these days, but this solved a very puzzling problem that I couldn't solve myself, MacGyver.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Ok

This is a useless product.

This is an unusable product and does not come with good instructions. I wish they had shown me beforehand that this is not a hand removal product. It just helps you remove the cap to get at the nut. Since you're going to throw the old hand out anyway, it doesn't matter if you break the lid. You can easily remove this cover with a screwdriver or pliers. The tool was thin and easily bent.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • I will write later

Same old tool made too cheap

I've used them before and they work great. Simply extends the square wiper arm as if there were dollies on the windshield. Unfortunately, this time I got the first one with no problems. The tip of the second arm tool was just starting to flex with little to no pressure. I was able to flatten it out with pliers to get the job done, but once the cheap metal starts bending like that, it only gets worse. The packaging said Made in Taiwan. I can only assume it was cheap cast iron this time. Nextโ€ฆ

Works Perfect - Arms

This tool works great for what it was designed for. It was designed to remove a specific type of wiper arm. In my case, I bought it for my 1968 Chevy pickup, but it also fits a number of older GM vehicles. It took me about 5 seconds on each hand to remove them. This is a lot easier than the old method of trying to push the clip with a screwdriver or using a rag and screwdriver to pry up the lever (a very easy way to ruin the paint). The reviews say the tool is weak or doesn't work at all, orโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great Product
Cons
  • Something Different

As long as you know exactly how to use this tool, it's worth its weight in gold. It's easy to abuse as you just have to catch the thin outer edge of the arm's base where it slides over the post. It's easy to crawl under the rack itself, then you get nowhere. When used correctly and with precision, this tool is the ONLY way to remove typical wiper arms from their pins. It may take a little finesse and patience, but they will come off. This is a necessary tool for fine-tuning the position of theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
