Fits just right. It looks like a good durable rubber silicone material for boots. Let's see if it holds up over time. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars are the supplied metal straps. MUST have a special tensioning and crimping tool not listed in the description.

It was easy to install after I removed the CV axle. Used to replace the liner on a 2005 Ford Ranger (Europe) XL. Seems flimsy and flexible but I expect it to hold up well as long as no sharp objects get in and pierce it. The included lube was enough for a sheath, and the straps curled easily. down with pliers. The size was correct. didn't have to be cut.

If you use the vehicle selector to check if this fits you will see that it fits a 2006 Nissan Murano, front left inside. That's definitely not true. I found this with a completely disassembled axle. Only a dealer can get an internal trunk for this car, and a new axle is only $80, which is why I chose this route since the car has 350,000 miles.

I used this generic silicone boot to replace an old, rotten rubber boot on the ball joint drive shaft in my 1963 Plymouth Valiant. Worked great! The material of the boot feels durable and flexible. But there is no small collar for the shank, 2 large ones were sent instead. And very little fat, since that's half the fat needed to fill that joint. Really baffled why they sent two large clamps and not a small clamp for the end of the shaft. Subaru made the unfortunate decision to use butyl rubber boots on the CV joints and as the front inner boots are close to the exhaust pipe they don't last long. The second time I had to replace the driver's side I was looking for a silicone rubber boot. This one worked well and I will use it on the other side if the spare butyl rubber boot fails again.
