Fixed weird issue with VW Beetle taillights

Great! I had a strange problem with the taillights on my 2000 VW Beetle; When the headlights were on and I applied the brake, all the lights on the left side of my car went out. We eventually traced it back to the outlet (which was burned out due to a bulb shorting out - as if burned and melted). Bought as a replacement, installed it myself (it only took a few minutes) and my headlights are working great again!

Complete waste, unserviceable replacement

Housing does not hold original bulb like OEM housing, bulb appears to be loose and not making good contact with outer edge. A lightbulb could slip out completely because the case didn't hold the locking pins well enough. This happened after I had to reach out with a pick and pull on the bottom pins that were bent in the case. I couldn't get over the manufacturing flaws enough to use them hence one star.

Trash Don't buy a major defect, I would give zero stars if Jeff Bezos allowed me

I have already purchased replaced the factory outlet with this Dornan model. Headlights worked for about two years. Not realizing it was because the bulb wasn't holding up properly, I bought a new one (yes, again). This time it was obvious that the bulb was not fixed, which seems to be primarily due to the lower contacts not being pressed enough against the bulb. I used needle nose pliers to pull the contact up and some extra to make it springier and put pressure on the bulb. I should have read
