🔧 Dorman 74449 Parking Brake Pedal Release Handle: Compatible with Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC Models Review

Vehicle: 1995 GMC Yukon SLT, 8" Lynch, 37" Tires, 5.7L Auto. Not as thick as OEM. Sometimes pops open when dragged. A bit flimsy and inappropriate. Spend a little more and get an OEM because this thing won't last long anyway.

My 1995 Chevy k2500 didn't have a parking brake handle so this pad literally snapped on in a second and fitted perfectly. I applied the parking brake a few times and tightened the handle and it stayed in place.

This is a very easy repair if this part breaks on your truck. This part just looks really cheap. Every time I pull out my E-Break I feel like it's about to be ripped off. So if I can find one that feels a little more durable, I'll buy that one instead.

This item fits perfectly, clicks into place, works great. I saw a review that said the print was not OEM quality, but mine looks perfect. I would still grind the print if it wasn't perfect, which I don't think is a deal breaker. Thanks for a great and simple product!

Revain Prime delivered very quickly. The pen looks and works just like the original and is as durable as the original. It only took me 2 minutes to cut the broken plastic part of the grip off the plastic spring and then put the new grip back on. It is very easy to install.

I bought this knob to replace the emergency brake pedal on my 1997 Chevy Tahoe. It looks just like the original, fits perfectly and is very easy to assemble. All I had to do was press the securing clips and the broken one immediately slipped off. It was actually more difficult than installing a new one slipping back over the clips and snapping into place. It's durable and I can't tell it apart from the original pen.

I used this grip on my little used '96 GMC truck, today it broke off when I pulled to release the parking brake. Looking at the detail, I see that there is a weak spot in the bar. Instead of replacing it I fix it with epoxy glue. If you look closely at the damaged area, it becomes clear that at the weakest point of the molded part, several air bubbles to the right of the inscription "CHINA" contributed to the destruction. I want to keep the original part and repair it with epoxy.

I usually prefer to buy ACDelco blocks to restore my truck but in this case I decided to save a few bucks and head to the dealer go to buy a Dorman device. I'm honestly not a big fan of Dorman products, but that's not too bad and the price doesn't bite. After my block arrived I found it to be of good quality and very close in color to the original. My only complaint was that the stenciled white writing on the front was a bit poor. But overall the fit and quality was excellent hence the 5 stars.
