What I needed - Engine cooling and air conditioning

Fits my Focus 03 perfectly, fixed my leak. it's crazy that this thing is plastic and probably going to fail again at some point, but for now it's working like a champ.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Weight

Good body, bad thermostat

The body seals well but the thermostat leaks a lot of coolant before the thermostat opens. It took about 20 minutes of driving for the engine to warm up to the right temperature.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Modern

Looks and fits OEM. Very happy with this purchase.

The fit and finish is exactly the same as the original manufacturer. My 2002 Ford Focus 2.0 ztec no longer leaks. Tip for the self-employed. Purchase new hose clamps, needle nose pliers, and a 10mm ratcheting box wrench. I couldn't have done it without these tools.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Check if the thermostat is OK!

Perfect for the 2001 Ford Escape 4 cylinder but the thermostat in the housing didn't quite fit my car and caused problems after a day or two of use. The old thermostat was replaced and from that moment everything worked. Still a good buy, just take apart the case to check the exact fit of the thermostat before installing. It would be 5/5 if the thermostat matched my make/model/year.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Zero

Great case, my car runs cooler than the old original.

Great case My machine runs colder than the original machine. It takes longer to warm up, but I no longer have a leak. Please use distilled water with antifreeze concentrate if you see likely signs of rust. I can say it's better than the Ford it replaced and it went well with my car which had leaked out of that bodywork and some other areas of the hose last winter especially the radiator cap. But the car is 16 years old, soon there won't be anywhere better as it's so old

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Good product at the right price

Firstly you buy it because your Ford was leaking, luckily you can save a few days while it is delivered. For me this part fitted my Ford Escape 02 4 cylinder engine perfectly. I too was able to wait a few days for delivery which was much better than paying 3x what the dealer paid. 3 simple screws removed the old one, and this one screwed up and won't flow anymore. I hope I never have to replace it again. It's the same material as the old one, with an o-ring sealing it, and the engine blockโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • There are defects

My problem was fixed well for parts

This item fitted well and fixed a coolant leak on my 2001 Focus ZX3. I had a very slow leak and knew I had to replace the casing. I ordered it from Revain as it was the best deal and I lived with the leak all winter until the weather got warmer to fix it. One spring I saw a big green puddle and it happened! Here are the steps I took to replace the thermostat housing: - Drain the coolant and unplug the ignition coil harness for easy access. - Remove the three front panels. Remove the rubberโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • A newer model could have been chosen

Identical to OEM - Perfect fit

Ford Focus models with 2.0 liter L4 Gas DOHC engines have some problems. The Coolant Outlet, also known as the Water Outlet Housing, was installed on the 2000-2004 Ford Focus and the 2001-2004 Ford Escape with a 16-valve DOHC engine, as well as some other models des uses same year, uses black thermoplastic thermostat housing. (located on the right side of the engine). This black plastic housing is attached to the cylinder head with three bolts and sealed with a rubber O-ring on the side of theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Can't remember
