Fixed my problems with spare parts

Error code fixed. Durmax works well. When I removed the old one I found melted wires so I'm sure that was the problem. Regardless of this replacement problem

Pros
  • So far so good
Cons
  • Unsure

06 LBZ Duramax for turbocharger

I've had this installed for a couple of weeks and it seems to be working as it should. I had the engine code for the vanity sensor and when I put that in it disappeared so that's all I could ask for. I was a little nervous because some reviews said unbranded devices still give out the code but it works. It was also positive that all materials required for assembly were included in the kit.

Pros
  • I'm looking forward to
Cons
  • Incredible piggy bank

Defective item best in spare parts

Failed immediately after installation. Dropped different codes when replacing the sensor. I took the truck in for diagnostics, all the turbo systems are working fine except for this sensor which reads the turbo speed wrong. I thought I could save some money, but now I only buy genuine GM parts for Duramax. I found a supplier of original spare parts that is much cheaper than the dealer. Do not buy this sensor. Thank you Revain for a great return policy.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Volume

Works great so far. I just installed it without designing (or making a fancy outlet with a slot on the side). Installing it cleared my p2563 code and the truck has been through emissions ever since. Tech2 is NOT required to relearn this sensor, at least not on my 06 LBZ. Once the ECT reaches 104F (40C), with the A/C off and the truck in Park or Neutral, the ECU commands the vane position solenoid to move the vanes. This should lead to a recalibration. I have a Tech2 clone and was able to…

Pros
  • Robust construction
Cons
  • Negative present

Mine works without Tech 2 2004.5 LLY Duramax

I've wanted to change this for a long time. I have LLY Duramax 2004.5. I contacted the dealer and they charged about $700 to replace it and relearn the bucket position sensor. I bought this and installed it without a tech 2 and my check engine light went out. After a while I felt insecure, bought Tech 2 on the website for $400 and went to relearn. It didn't have to be re-learned. I had to modify the connector on the sensor, it has a plastic rib inside preventing it from connecting, I cut it out

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Can I add anything

Repairs my 2005 Duramax

I was a bit afraid to buy it for my 05 GMC Sierra because when I put the year in it said it didn't fit. But after reading the KB review above mine (or below) I saw that he said he had to modify the fork a bit and it works great. Then I ordered it and it was right! I just took a utility knife, heated the blade with my propane torch and cut off the little protrusion in the connector he was talking about that didn't quite match. Went straight in and cured my P2563 and P0046 codes. The dealer…
