Worked great. fits air conditioner tools and gear

The mechanic I contacted wanted over $900 for a new one. I watched videos on YouTube and made it myself. Saved a lot of money and didn't have to be difficult. Was on Passat SE 2.5 2012.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Functionality

Identical to higher priced OEM part

Identical to OEM part with VW logo removed. However, buy the original seal, Revain's secondary seal does not fit well and the pump does not include a seal.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Nothing

2010 VW Jetta - Air Conditioning Line Repair Tools

The mechanic who diagnosed my car wanted to remove the transmission to install this part. I found a youtube video on how to install it without removing the broadcast. Found this part at Revain. Saved over $800 and my machine runs better than ever.

Pros
  • Wow
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Probably OEM repackaged part

The price was right I thought it was an OEM repackaged pump. Made in Germany, has the same markings as the original pump. The fit was perfect, assembly was easy. Be sure to order a metal gasket between the pump and cylinder head, this is NOT included. 2008 Rabbit 2.5 automatic transmission

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • No

Works perfectly. Best Air Conditioning Tools & Gear

Works great. Be sure to order a seal! I didn't realize the gasket wasn't included until I started changing it. There are videos showing the easy installation. The easy way is to remove the plate from the front of the pump, but it's a lot cheaper than paying someone else to do it!

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Nothing here

Possibly renovated but not new.

As someone else said, this is not a new item. New parts may have been used to restore it, but it is not new. The markings have been sanded down and given new dates. Order at your own risk. Unfortunately I can't see where this part is on the engine if it's leaking or not without removing other components from the engine (Beetle 2007).

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only

Identical to OEM part: Air conditioning tools and equipment

New vacuum pump installed on the 2007 VW Beetle 2.5L to deal with a severe oil leak from an old vacuum pump remedy. The old pump must be disassembled to remove it on an automatic transmission vehicle. The new vacuum pump must be dismantled for assembly on the engine. The part was made in Germany and the instructions in the box were from a major German auto parts manufacturer. The oil leak is gone. You need to order a gasket for the pump. Good pump.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other selections

No more huge oil spills in your driveway!

Replaced this and the rocker cover gasket on my wife's 2006 VW Beetle 2.5L. It was a two hour job, but not that hard, just in an awkward place. I found a video on YouTube showing the process. This put an end to a liter of oil stains under the car a month. The side effect of the leak was that the oil had eaten into the control arm bushings, so have them checked if you need to replace that to fix a major leak. At the time of replacement, the car had 154,000 and it did not flow for about 5 months.

Pros
  • Decent specs
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous
