Bought for my 2001 Takoma, the part was correct but from the packaging it was defective. Took it out of the box, properly applied power and ground to the terminals, and the sensor did nothing. Assuming it's possible to blow air through the sensor while applying power and ground, the sensor didn't work right out of the box. I bought this valve because my car kept getting exhaust systems and incorrect purge flow codes. I thought it was a great product for the price. Ease of installation. Everything worked fine for the first few months. Three months later I got the same codes again as before installing this product. It's safe to say I sent this valve back and paid an additional $30 for the OEM valve. I do not recommend buying a Dorman valve. Pay more money and get an OEM part!

I tested it with wires to my 12 volt battery (using the online test circuit) and a short vacuum line to blow into one of the holes. I attached the small wire clips to the battery. Heard the valve move and was able to blow air from one port to the other. Be sure to disconnect the negative battery cable before installation. I bought this to replace the EVAP Control Vacuum Changeover Valve (VSV for EVAP) on my 1998 Toyota Sienna. The old one has cracked with age. I purchased this part knowing that this switch was not designed for my 1998 Sienna and would not be an equivalent replacement.
