Unreliable Cable, Total Disappointment

As a result of using this product, I found that it would frequently break, leading to frustrating experiences trying to access my car's hood. While it was relatively easy to install, the unreliability of the cable completely undermined any convenience it might provide. Save your money and find a more trustworthy replacement part.

It seems to work fine BUT.

Didn't see the mechanic install it but knew he had to remove some parts and find ways to skip it. But this is my truck's design, not a parts problem. seem normal, but maybe it's my truck design again. I have to push the latch back after pulling it up to actually release the hood. Hope it lasts long :)

Good product, worth buying!

I installed it on my 2000 Chevy Blazer. Some reviews said the wire was too long but mine was perfect. Installation was a bit more complicated than some of the reviews that said you could just use the old cord as a guide to fish the new one through the firewall. That is not right. The fire barrier has a rubber bushing that prevents new equipment from entering. To get this you need to set aside some things. See photos. The old bushing comes out and the new bushing is on the new piece. It slides…
