PERFECT REPLACEMENT LOCK BARREL

Purchased for Jeep TJ - perfect replacement. There were keys, the lock just failed. It is possible to pull out the OEM lock toggle switch with key from the OEM cylinder and insert this cylinder lock. work 10 minutes. No new key or locksmith required.

  • MAKE SURE IT FIT - To ensure this part fits your vehicle enter make, model and trim level in the shop tool
Cons
  • Good but not great

Works but has issues

Easy to install. Movement is sluggish, buttons don't rotate easily or don't remove easily. After installing and connecting the battery, there will be a "door open" "ding-ding-ding" sound if the key is not in the ignition switch. I would not buy again.

Pros
  • Easy to install - replacement is relatively easy and requires no special tools
Cons
  • Annoys me

Pros
  • Safe solution - this cylinder retains the anti-theft properties of the original equipment on these vehicles
Cons
  • Very expensive
