I am new to dovetail cutting and have found it very helpful for accurate markings. it is flat and marks the tails in one go. Instead, you should line it up twice and mark the tails on the opposite edge.

There are quite a lot of such items, but this one struck me as the best. I was not disappointed: it is beautiful and well made. Easy to use once you know what a dovetail is! Ignore the reviews about how difficult it is or no guide!

There are better tools to wield a blade with. It's just a mock-up device and I think it's better than a piece of cardboard rated at 7 degrees, but not much better. So the rating is what it is. Works for part of the process but not that useful overall.

Although I really like the product I was initially a little confused by the lack of instructions for this item as I couldn't find anything on YouTube I felt a bit lost then I did I noticed that the company selling the product emailed me with detailed instructions which cleared my confusion. The item itself is well made and high quality and makes a great addition to my tool arsenal.

I like this tool because it allows me to try something that would take a long time to master. This allows you to easily mark dovetails without having to worry about using an angle gauge or complex measuring technology. The tools are well made. It would be better if there was a video or guide on how to use this tool, but I think it might be pretty obvious for some when they look at the tool.

I didn't use it often because I only bought it for quick work and it came in handy very quickly and made my job a lot easier. Definitely one of the best dovetail markers, I recommend it to everyone. Excellent build quality, it's made of metal and while it's a bit heavy it will definitely take a few drops on hard surfaces if it slips out of your hands. Recommend.

This gauge is so well made it survived Revain packaging and shipping. They are packed in plastic labels like many other things. When Revain sent this out, they threw it in bubble wrap. When I saw the bag on my front steps, all crumpled up, I thought it was a return but inside the dovetail sensor was intact! Now it's well done. This is a very well made sensor that is a joy to use.
