High-Quality 284yrd Deep Brown Leather Sewing Waxed Thread - 150D, 1mm - Ideal for Leather Hand Stitching (125g) Review

This is my first time trying to sew leather but it was good quality and matched the brown leather perfectly.

I tried it because it was cheaper than the regular string I use for dyeing. It worked, but it breaks more easily and is thinner. This is probably good for coloring beginners or those who want very fine lines in their work.

I ordered this at the same time as my order for needles to mend shoes that needed threading. I haven't received it. I know it will be shipped from China but I have already received the needles and not the thread yet. I would rate it zero but only 1 to 5 stars.

Decent quality tread, but I ordered dark brown and got a natural color. This is the second time this year that I have ordered a dark brown color and received a natural color. I thought it was just a mistake when I first filled out the order but I have a feeling they ran out of the dark brown and only ship what they have in abundance.

This thread is lightly waxed, it's a flat yarn (as opposed to round yarn) that I always call "ribbon yarn" but if you get the hang of it, it's very strong and there's a lot for the price. I love it and as long as it's available I'll be getting more for the double needle hand embroidery I do with leather. I used about 12 yards of floss and re-waxed the floss for the newly completed Portrait Messenger Bag (photo).
