It's a pretty basic product but it gives great results. I bought these for my existing motorcycle cover (not a suitable Dowco product) and was still able to use them effectively. I would use the strap as a clasp on the back of the main unit to attach to the wheel spoke and then attach the other end through the hole in the motorcycle cover. I bought this 6 months ago after my bike was damaged several times (saddlebags stolen, side panels removed). I live in an apartment and park my bike behind the house.
