Cheap and works.

Works well. Robust construction. Does its job at a reasonable price. The only downside I would say is that the pin tool that fits into the flywheel seems very flimsy. Additional reinforcement required. I welded mine. Otherwise there are no complaints.

BMW N20 Adjusting Tool

Works great. Timing tools for BMW N20 have cam lock, flywheel pin and cam timing. Make sure you buy a flywheel lock and an oil pump lock/adjusting tool. I installed the oil pump, timing chain, timing chain tensioner and timing chain guide on a 2013 BMW X3 28i without any problems.

Surprisingly good for engine tools

I was hesitant to buy this tool because the official one costs a few hundred dollars, but this one worked surprisingly well. I would recommend anyone looking to replace their N20 timing chain to buy one instead of the official tool. There's no point in spending that much money on something so simple. Special thanks to DPTOOL that saved me hundreds of dollars!

Another successful N20 timing chain replacement with this headset DPTOOL

and more study I decided to use this tool kit to replace the timing chain on my 2014 BMW 528i N20. Incidentally, the original timing chain on my BMW was in very good condition. With over 73,000 miles and the unpredictability of failure, I have decided to replace it now that I have time to do it at home without the pressure to get the machine running on short notice and without the risk of a spontaneous breakdown on the wrong spot . wrong time. The tool fit is tight with good tolerances…
