Only use for thin grooves

A bit disappointed to be honest. slightly shorter, the cut of the edges was not very good. Maybe I should have known these things when I ordered the racket.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

A good fir cleans signs.

Exactly what I was looking for. I needed a great nozzle to use with a rotary tool to clean the edges of some signs. I don't need it all the time, but it fits a need that comes up from time to time. Dremel bits always work better and stay sharper than Chinese imitations.

Pros
  • Best on soft materials
Cons
  • Expensive

Made in China says "Made to Dremel Specifications "

After two passes over a groove in a pine board, the shaft broke (see photo). The shaft must have hardened too much and become too brittle. The cutter did not overheat, the wood did not burn. I tried to return an item but I get a message saying it's non-refundable. I also assumed it was made in the USA and the inside of the box said 'Made in China'.

Pros
  • Milling, Mortising and Chiselling
Cons

This seems to work: Straight

Doesn't look very sharp. I needed something similar to carve a small bag in wood. Accuracy wasn't required and I figured it would make my life easier than drilling and chiselling. It's not like this. I was able to extract most of the material with it, but it's by no means an end mill, and it barely works as a router due to the angle of the blades and their dullness. I'm not sure if that would even work on harder woods. I've used it on pine trees.

Pros
  • Product is a 1/4 straight cutter
Cons
  • Nothing

Must be included in the basic kit

I love my dremel. I don't use it often, but every time I'm glad I bought it. The basic package I received had a bit of routing, but it required a lot of effort for little payoff. This one has a lot more bite and makes routing holes and shapes much easier. The drill bit is SHARP so it doesn't generate much heat either, which is a good thing because almost every drill bit I have for my Dremel will burn the wood I'm cutting unless I move very, very slowly. It was the missing piece in my collection

Pros
  • Made of high speed steel
Cons
  • Functionality

Worked great as an alternative to a door router

I needed to cut hinges and a through lock on an empty door I was installing. I don't have a trimmer so I used this little Dremel attachment in my drywall router. It worked great and gave me a professional result. Just walk slowly so you don't overheat and turn blue. If I had to make a dozen doors I would choose something more efficient, but this solution worked for one. Incidentally, I didn't use my Dremel tool on this chisel because its base obscures the view of the chisel; the drywall router…

Pros
  • Straight bits, twist drills and taps
Cons
  • So far so good

Doesn't work.: Straight

The bit itself is not bad, only the idea of using a Dremel as a router is completely idiotic. It cuts no more than 3mm per pass in wood. , and you can probably get a pretty crooked line with it for 25 seconds before your router attachment falls apart in your hands. While operating a sharp cutting machine at high speed. Sorry, please get a suitable router next time. Oh, and those little parts are pretty expensive compared to real routers of similar quality (which, as a bonus, can actually get…

Excellent quality tool, highly recommended.

Great little router. Milling 3/8" deep grooves in pine boards for bookcases. I've asked a lot for this tool. I used my old Dremel Pro and slowly started cutting along a straight edge at 35,000rpm. how fast it cut He pressed against the fence I had attached to the pine board and seemed to be drawn into the material. I calculated a 116" linear cross section of pine boards in no time. It was a job for a machine designed for routing. Very impressive. This little router saved me time and money. I…
