This is the perfect addition to the kitchen for our very inquisitive daughter. She enjoys watching mom and dad cook, now that she can visually see what's going on. She knows how to get up and down herself. The aviary is very good because it took her a while to figure out how to get up and sit down on her own. It is very durable and easy to assemble. Recommend this product for families with young children who just want to see everything.

This is a good product, just imagine something you would buy from IKEA but with an inferior finish. After unpacking and assembling (again put a threaded nut in the hole in the screw thread and repeat) the paint started to crack in several places. Overall very happy with the purchase. This is perfect for our living room where my 18 month old daughter can climb in to check out the aquarium! We've also used it in the kitchen as an "aid" for washing dishes, washing hands, etc. Overall, the construction is solid wood and very durable. Assembly took about 10 minutes for my husband and minimal assembly tools. It lasted about a month and the stool shows no signs of wear despite the rough body of my daughter and our bulldog who slammed into it.

My husband made a few comments about the quality, especially the price (wasn't that impressed). There are a few things he needs to adjust to make sure it meets our son's safety standards, but it's pretty comfortable so it's not a problem.
