There are several menus that allow you to set different current and voltage levels and store them in memory. The only thing that surprised me a bit was that the 'on/off' button doesn't actually turn the device on and off, it just toggles the displayed programmed values on or off. Almost perfect for an inexpensive desktop supply. So why only three stars? Well it doesn't have a series diode to prevent back flow when you have a battery etc as a load. In a one-page manual, they warn against using a diode for a battery or capacitive loads. The problem is that you have to remember to include the 0.6VDC voltage drop for the diode when setting the desired voltage and overvoltage. Very good device, the display is quite clear and bright (at least when I use it indoors like I do). While the user interface is a bit cryptic, a quick glance at the instructions is enough to change the settings. The Voltage/Current/Power display updates slightly faster than once per second.
