Easy installation, accepts chargers and power supplies

I bought one of these to hook up a Rexing DVR to my truck's overhead console. It only took about 10 minutes from start to finish, and most of the time was because Ram didn't give you 1/4 inch more cable than needed to get the job done, so the connection (location, which was my choice) But now I don't have a power cord in front of my face going from the dash cam to an outlet in my dashboard.

Cons
  • Little repairability

It does not work. for chargers and power adapters

I bought them to install in my car to power the Bluetooth adapter to turn on with the car and turn off when the car stops. I installed one of these and sometimes it didn't work when turned on. I tried the second one and it was worse. I requested the return but I didn't receive it in time, my loss. I don't know what the problem is, but I've bought several different ones that worked as expected and hooked up exactly the same.

Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Not enough for a DIY audio project

I bought this product to power a small bluetooth chip that I use for my DIY radio. While this module provided the 5V power needed to power the module, it was interfering with the radio, causing an annoying hum in my speakers. After troubleshooting I found that it was caused by this device when I changed the 5v power supply and the hum was resolved. I can't say if it's suitable for enabling smart devices as I haven't tested it on that, but I definitely wouldn't recommend it for audio projects.

Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Works great even if only one port exceeds 2.1A!

I used this for the iOS charging ports in my car. Since I had already configured my USB jack ports, I cut off the intended jack ports and soldered the adapter cables to my USB jacks. Even with dimensions, the device works as specified! I can recharge my iPhone, but this time without a cigarette adapter! If you have the time and ability to fit this into your car then this is for you. Keep in mind that only one connector (mine was on the right side where there were 4 wires instead of 2) is…

Warning: Phones/tablets will likely require a dedicated USB charging cable.

There seems to be a lot of misinformation about these USB adapters regarding charging capabilities. In short: to charge tablets/phones you need a USB charging cable that shorts the data pins. You can find these cables/adapters on the Revain website. Also, only one of the USB ports can charge these devices. Note. This cable works great when you use it for your dashcam and your phone/tablet. In my case, I converted my car radio into a Nexus 7 tablet and firmly plugged the cable into one of the…

Interferes with radio reception

Shortly after installing it in my car, I noticed that my radio reception was breaking off in places where reception had always been good. I gave him a few weeks just in case it was the weather or solar flares or something. My reception didn't improve so I removed that adapter and reception returned immediately. I've experimented with different 12V power cords, multiple grounding points, and multiple different positions for the unit itself, but this has always resulted in interference. I have…

Overestimates its capacity by 100% - this is a 1.5 amp charger, not 3 amp.

After struggling with this for a week I was finally able to get it to charge my Samsung tablets as well as all my other products. The device has a port that charges the DCP with 1 ampere in the event of a short circuit between the data lines D+ and D-. The second port does not charge the DCP (Dedicated Charge Port) with more than 500mA, regardless of the state of the data lines. The ports are not labeled to indicate which is correct, you will need to swap them and see which is which. In no case
