DRomance Flameless Flickering Operated Halloween Review

Based on our own experience, this novelty lighting product failed to impress. While the flickering effect was initially intriguing, the flameless aspect came across as cheap and unconvincing. The only positive aspect was the ease of battery-operation, but ultimately it wasn't enough to redeem its lackluster performance.

These candles look great lit or unlit. Simple and easy Halloween decor for sure. The added timer functionality is essential for all battery powered lighting fixtures in my opinion. My biggest complaint about them is that they destroy batteries. I put new batteries in my set of three batteries with the timers set and all three batteries started to run out after two weeks...TWO WEEKS. I have a similar, more expensive timer candle that runs on just two AA batteries and lasts almost three months…

Advantages: Battery compartment is easily accessible, no problem inserting batteries in a lockable compartment. All three batteries glow well and flicker. (See below) (Can't speak to battery life because I just received them) Cons: The candles I received had NO protective plastic coating, just wax!. This is a problem for me. Even if they are only used during the Halloween season, maybe 2 weeks? they will be dirty and dusty. As already mentioned, the lower part of the candles is slightly chewed.
