The large dog shirt really fits my cat. It doesn't fit the size at all. A shirt for a large dog should fit a medium sized dog - 30-40 pounds or more - the size of the shirt is actually suitable for a small teacup sized dog. Rather very small or small. It's a cute pattern and my cat wears it, not my dog.

I have an 8 pound mini poodle mix and the medium one fits like a glove. It looks great and she seems very comfortable in it. Good for a little extra warmth when it's not really time for a sweater. I love it so much I bought another one. I would highly recommend it to everyone I know. But they run small, so get one size bigger.

My puppies were a little smaller than average so I ordered them. She is an 8 pound Boston Terrier. Didn't shrink in the wash. Very cute shirt but a little bit big for my girl. She is a Chinese Crested weighing 9 pounds with a back length of 12 inches. It might matter to her because she's hairless. Due to the size I was afraid it would be too big for a medium size so I ordered a large. I will not return, on the street it can sit down a little when washing. A medium would definitely fit better.
