Description of Enhanced Carina Mechanical Keyboard Kit - 60% Form Factor, Tray Mount Construction 🔑 & Wide Range of Plate Materials for a Balanced Blend of Stiffness and Flexibility (Aluminum)

PICK A PLATE, ANY PLATE: A keyboard’s plate is a slim piece of material (usually metal) that sits between the switches and the PCBA. Depending on the material you choose, the plate will interact with the switches differently. In an effort to offer even more customization, the Carina is available with your choice of three add-on plates. ALUMINUM SWITH PLATE: The most common material found in custom keyboard kits, aluminum offers a good balance of stiffness and flexibility to complement most switches. BRASS SWITCH PLATE: With a higher stiffness rating than aluminum, it provides an even sturdier feel. COPPER SWITCH PLATE: Similar to brass in its chemical makeup, copper provides a rigid, satisfying feel. FIND WHAT WORKS BEST FOR YOU: Many typists prefer to match stiff plates with tactile switches to accentuate their tactility, while others prefer to pair flexible plates with linear switches for a more dynamic feel.

Critical buttons not working

I suspect that some hot-swap connectors on my board have failed because important buttons like the ae and 2 button are not working The box has tried several different switches and made sure that they don't work, don't bend at all. How good is it for people going through customs? Not to mention that the firmware is complex and not very beginner friendly. I ended up having to re-solder some hot-swap connectors just to get this thing to work properly, and after all that nonsense I'm trying to…

Solid keeb - Computers and accessories

Really good quality. Perfect acrylic design, no voids. I have lubricated NK Creams and they sound great. Good price for a great taxi.

Excellent case and board for computers and accessories

Comparable to other 60% acrylic cases like Tofu or KBDfans 5 Degree. Having RGB lighting on the top and bottom of the board is a huge plus and it's quite difficult to find such a decent layout.

Solid keyboard, feels and sounds and looks great!

Really great keyboard. I program, write and work on multiple computers for a living. Switching from the Logitech g-series keyboard to the Drop Carina was a game changer. I chose to connect the keyboard with copper plate and Holy Panda switches. Sounds and feels fantastic! So happy with my choice. Although I'm missing some keys. arrows mostly. But you can access these keys with layers and the right alt key. This is a solid keyboard and you can't go wrong with the setting!

The best RGB keyboard without exception!

RGB with this keyboard is unbeatable. Matte acrylic smooths the surface and the panel reflects a variety of colors. Combined, this keyboard looks like a complete rainbow block! I have a couple of LTC Lava Caps which are the stuff of legends that really help sell the RGB look block. The quality of this keyboard is good - no defects or anything and it was easy to put together. The software on the website is great and makes it easy to adjust the RGB (but a Windows app would be even better). Great…

good RGB. bad comma straight out of the box

I assembled this with no problems, it was very easy. I used a static wristband, although I thought it was overkill I didn't want to ruin a $200 keyboard. Once assembled, everything works except for the comma. I checked another switch looking for bent pins but nothing. very disappointed that such an expensive keyboard can have problems when much cheaper mechanical boards have given me no problems at all. Also not that it was a mistake if dropped but the plate bent at an angle of about 15-20…
